This week, Devin Nunes recused himself from the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Russian “meddling” in the US election pending the result of a House Ethics Committee investigation into Devin Nunes. Next, the Senate blew themselves up for one man, Neil Gorsuch who, with a simple majority vote was confirmed to the Supreme Court today. The cherry on the cake of This Week in Trump, an attack on a Syrian airbase with 59 Tomahawk missiles, without Congressional approval. So, it must be time for Congress to go on VACATION.

What to look for next: Russia was supposed to get rid of Syrian chemical weapons under a previous agreement reached with the Obama Administration. They obviously did not. Syria uses weapons, Trump reacts, Russia feigns outrage and now the US can horse trade with Russia. Perhaps the deal will look like this: Russia stops backing Assad. US lifts Russian sanctions and allows Russia to stay in Ukraine.
